The swiss-scape database provides insights into the multilingual, multimodal linguistic and soundscape of Switzerland. Explore different areas using the map or search for specific images (Linguistic Landscape) or sound recordings (Linguistic Soundscape) in the database using the filter functions. You may reuse and modify the data for non-commercial purposes (CC license BY-NC-SA 4.0), provided that you give credit to the author.

The images and sound recordings have been categorised according to languages, year of creation, location and form. In terms of form, the following categories apply:
- Display panel (Display boards and screens)
- Neon sign (Neon advertising)
- Graffiti (Sprayed and painted inscriptions)
- Mural (Mural)
- Poster (Poster)
- Street sign (Street signs, traffic signs, and mounted signs)
- Plaque (Signs and plaques)
- Sticker (Adhered texts or images)
- Window (Shop windows)
- Writing (Handwritten text)
- Architecture (Monuments, sculptures, fountains, architecture, artwork)
- Packaging (Product labels)
- Flag (Flags and banners)
